Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Homative LLC ("Homative," "we," "us"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site or submit a quote request.

What Homative does

Homative is a matching service. We connect homeowners with pre-screened local contractors and quote partners who may contact you about your project. We are not a contractor, do not perform home-improvement work, and are not a party to any agreement you enter into with a contractor.

No guarantee; your responsibility to vet

We pre-screen contractors in our network for criteria such as active licensing, insurance, and review history, but we do not guarantee the quality, pricing, timeliness, or outcome of any contractor's work. You are responsible for independently evaluating any contractor — verifying licensing and insurance, reviewing the contract, and making your own hiring decision. Any dispute over work performed is between you and the contractor.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident to use the Site and submit a request. By submitting a request, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized decision-maker for the property.

Quote requests and consent to contact

When you submit a quote request, you authorize Homative and the matched contractors to contact you at the phone number and email you provide, including by autodialer, pre-recorded or artificial voice, and text message. Consent to be contacted is not a condition of purchase. Full details are in our Privacy policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or another person's information without authorization.
• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems.
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce Site content without our written permission.

Intellectual property

The Site and its content — including text, graphics, logos, and the Homative name and wordmark — are owned by or licensed to Homative and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites or services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices, and your use of them is at your own risk.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and service are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Homative will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of the Site or your dealings with any contractor. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Homative harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your dealings with any contractor.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
